. Psalms 34:8-9 “Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who trust in Him! 9) Let the Lord’s people show Him reverence, for those who
honor Him will have all they need.”
“A Willing Participant” God pays attention to those who call on Him. Whether
God offers escape from trouble or help in times of trouble, we can be certain that He always hears and acts on behalf of those
who love Him. The humbled sinner
who pleads guilty, and cries for mercy, has no ground of discouragement. Mere professors of the faith, who are never convinced or influenced by the gospel fall away from truth and
are left to their own devises. Such
have nothing to fall away from, but an empty name, or hypocritical profession. True believers however, not only taste of the Word of God, but they drink it in. And this fruitful field or garden receives
the blessing of God. But the merely nominal Christian, continuing unfruitful
under the means of grace, or producing nothing but deceit and selfishness, nears the awful state of everlasting misery and
its end is reserved for them. Let us
watch with humble caution and prayer as to bring ourselves into a true relationship with God in Christ Jesus.

John 15:6-11 If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth
as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7) If ye abide in Me,
and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8) Herein is My Father glorified, that
ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples. 9) As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My love.
10) If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His
love. 11) These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
